Secaucus, New Jersey (AP)-The Cleveland Cavaliers have won the draft lottery and earning the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft, a year after losing to LeBron James (notes).
Represented by 14 years of age, Nick Gilbert, son of owner Dan Gilbert, the Cavaliers won the lottery on Tuesday and will be the first choice for the first time since 2003, when James was drafted.
James went to Miami last year and the Cavs fell to the second worst record in the league, but have two major and four picks for the opportunity for rapid reconstruction.
Minnesota and Utah second-round selection of New Jersey collection of Deron Williams (notes) trade in the No. 3 selection.
